The Cartography/GIS Laboratory serves as a research facility for cartography and geographic information science (GIS). It houses a collection of 1:50,000 and 1:250,000 topographic maps, geological maps, as well as two plotting tables and a plotting machine.
Since 2002, the lab has been equipped with 10 PCs dedicated to teaching and research in GIS and cartographic studies.
Geography Classroom (Room J502)
The Geography Classroom houses a diverse collection of mini-sized landforms, globes, transparencies, 3D models of Taiwan, rocks, and minerals. It is equipped with a conference table and accommodates 35 seats.
This classroom features a high-resolution ceiling-mounted projection system connected to various audio/visual equipment, including DVD, VCD, CD, and VHS players. Additionally, it is equipped with an electronic visual presenter, which can display documents and 3D objects on the wall-sized screen, enhancing the learning experience.
Common Classroom ( Room J503)
The Common Classroom is equipped with a high-resolution ceiling-mounted projection system connected to various audio/visual equipment, including DVD, VCD, CD, and VHS players, as well as a 50-inch TV. Additionally, it features an electronic visual presenter, capable of displaying documents and 3D objects on the wall-sized screen, enhancing the learning experience.
The classroom accommodates 40 seats, providing a comfortable and well-equipped environment for lectures and presentations.
Discussion Room (Room J511)
The Discussion Room is designed for study sessions, group discussions, and class meetings, accommodating up to 15 people. It provides a quiet and comfortable space for collaborative learning and academic exchanges.
Office (Room J505)
A reading area, there have many books about acdamic, junral, thesis, teaching equipment, and lots of videotapes to teaching.
